On watch
The heron still watches the water, and the water still feeds it. Nobody climbs the tower to watch anything any more.

Letting the light in
Ferns open themselves to the sun. The empty room only lets it in because its walls are giving up.

Taking it back
The first flowers of the year push up at the foot of old stone. In the reeds, the wreck already belongs to them.
